1 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilæans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

1 Y en este mismo tiempo estaban allí algunos que le contaban acerca de los galileos cuya sangre Pilato había mezclado con los sacrificios de ellos.

2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilæans were sinners above all the Galilæans, because they suffered such things?

2 Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: ¿Pensáis que estos galileos, porque han padecido tales cosas, eran más pecadores que todos los galileos?

3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

3 Os digo: No, antes bien, si no os arrepentís, todos pereceréis igualmente.

4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?

4 O aquellos dieciocho sobre los cuales cayó la torre de Siloé y los mató, ¿pensáis que ellos eran más culpables que todos los hombres que habitan en Jerusalén?

5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

5 Os digo: No, antes bien, si no os arrepentís, todos pereceréis igualmente.

6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

6 Y dijo esta parábola: Un hombre tenía una higuera plantada en su viña, y vino a buscar fruto en ella y no lo halló.

7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

7 Y dijo al viñador: He aquí hace tres años que vengo a buscar fruto en esta higuera y no lo hallo; córtala, ¿para qué ha de seguir ocupando el terreno?

8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

8 Él entonces, respondiendo, le dijo: Señor, déjala aún este año, hasta que yo cave alrededor de ella y la abone.

9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

9 Y si da fruto, bien; y si no, la cortarás después.

10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.

10 Y Jesús enseñaba en una sinagoga en el día de reposo.

11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.

11 Y he aquí, había allí una mujer que tenía espíritu de enfermedad desde hacía dieciocho años, y andaba encorvada y en ninguna manera se podía enderezar.

12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

12 Y cuando Jesús la vio, la llamó y le dijo: Mujer, quedas libre de tu enfermedad.

13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

13 Y puso las manos sobre ella, y al instante ella se enderezó y glorificaba a Dios.

14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.

14 Y respondiendo el principal de la sinagoga, enojado de que Jesús hubiese curado en el día de reposo, dijo a la gente: Seis días hay en que es necesario trabajar; en estos, pues, venid y sed sanados, y no en el día de reposo.

15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?

15 Entonces el Señor le respondió y dijo: ¡Hipócrita! ¿No desata cada uno de vosotros su buey o su asno del pesebre y lo lleva a beber en el día de reposo?

16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

16 Y a esta hija de Abraham, que Satanás había atado durante dieciocho años, ¿no se la debía desatar de esta ligadura en el día de reposo?

17 And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

17 Y al decir él estas cosas, se avergonzaban todos sus adversarios; pero todo el pueblo se regocijaba de todas las cosas gloriosas que él hacía.

18 Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?

18 Y dijo: ¿A qué es semejante el reino de Dios, y con qué lo compararé?

19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

19 Es semejante al grano de mostaza que un hombre tomó y sembró en su huerto; y creció y se hizo árbol grande, y las aves del cielo hicieron nidos en sus ramas.

20 And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?

20 Y otra vez dijo: ¿A qué compararé el reino de Dios?

21 It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

21 Es semejante a la levadura que una mujer tomó y escondió en tres medidas de harina, hasta que todo hubo fermentado.

22 And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.

22 Y Jesús pasaba por las ciudades y aldeas, enseñando y caminando hacia Jerusalén.

23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,

23 Y le preguntó uno: Señor, ¿son pocos los que se salvan? Y él les dijo:

24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

24 Esforzaos por entrar por la puerta angosta, porque os digo que muchos procurarán entrar y no podrán.

25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

25 Después que el padre de familia se levante y cierre la puerta, y estando fuera, comencéis a llamar a la puerta, diciendo: Señor, Señor, ábrenos; él, respondiendo, os dirá: No sé de dónde sois.

26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

26 Entonces comenzaréis a decir: Delante de ti hemos comido y bebido, y en nuestras plazas enseñaste;

27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

27 pero os dirá: Os digo que no sé de dónde sois; apartaos de mí todos vosotros, hacedores de iniquidad.

28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

28 Allí será el llanto y el crujir de dientes cuando veáis a Abraham, y a Isaac, y a Jacob y a todos los profetas en el reino de Dios, y vosotros estéis excluidos.

29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

29 Y vendrán del oriente y del occidente, del norte y del sur, y se sentarán a la mesa en el reino de Dios.

30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.

30 Y he aquí, son postreros los que eran los primeros; y son primeros los que eran los postreros.

31 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.

31 Aquel mismo día llegaron unos fariseos y le dijeron: Sal y vete de aquí, porque Herodes te quiere matar.

32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

32 Y él les dijo: Id y decid a aquel zorro: He aquí, echo fuera demonios y hago sanidades hoy y mañana, y al tercer día seré perfeccionado.

33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

33 Sin embargo, es menester que hoy, y mañana y pasado mañana siga mi camino, porque no es posible que un profeta muera fuera de Jerusalén.

34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

34 ¡Jerusalén, Jerusalén, que matas a los profetas y apedreas a los que te son enviados! ¡Cuántas veces quise juntar a tus hijos, como la gallina a sus polluelos debajo de sus alas, y no quisiste!

35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

35 He aquí, vuestra casa os es dejada desierta; y os digo que no me veréis más hasta que llegue el tiempo cuando digáis: Bendito el que viene en nombre del Señor.
