1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

1 Pablo, apóstol de Jesucristo por la voluntad de Dios, a los santos y fieles en Cristo Jesús que están en Éfeso:

2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Gracia y paz a vosotros, de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

3 Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que nos bendijo con toda bendición espiritual en los lugares celestiales en Cristo,

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

4 según nos escogió en él antes de la fundación del mundo, para que fuésemos santos y sin mancha delante de él, en amor,

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

5 habiéndonos predestinado para ser adoptados hijos suyos por medio de Jesucristo, según la complacencia de su voluntad,

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

6 para alabanza de la gloria de su gracia, con la cual nos ha favorecido en el Amado.

7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

7 En quien tenemos redención por su sangre, la remisión de pecados según las riquezas de su gracia,

8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

8 que hizo sobreabundar para con nosotros en toda sabiduría e inteligencia,

9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

9 dándonos a conocer el misterio de su voluntad, según su complacencia, la cual se había propuesto en sí mismo,

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

10 de reunir todas las cosas en Cristo, en la dispensación del cumplimiento de los tiempos, tanto las que están en los cielos, como las que están en la tierra.

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

11 En él, asimismo, obtuvimos herencia, habiendo sido predestinados conforme al propósito del que hace todas las cosas según el designio de su voluntad,

12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

12 a fin de que seamos para alabanza de su gloria, nosotros los que primero esperábamos en Cristo.

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

13 En él esperasteis también vosotros, habiendo oído la palabra de verdad, el evangelio de vuestra salvación; en él también, habiendo creído, fuisteis sellados con el Santo Espíritu de la promesa,

14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

14 quien es la garantía de nuestra herencia, para la redención de la posesión adquirida para alabanza de su gloria.

15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

15 Por lo cual también yo, habiendo oído de vuestra fe en el Señor Jesús, y de vuestro amor para con todos los santos,

16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

16 no ceso de dar gracias por vosotros, haciendo memoria de vosotros en mis oraciones,

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

17 para que el Dios de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre de gloria, os dé espíritu de sabiduría y de revelación en el conocimiento de él;

18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

18 alumbrando los ojos de vuestro entendimiento, para que sepáis cuál es la esperanza a que él os ha llamado, y cuáles las riquezas de la gloria de su herencia en los santos,

19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

19 y cuál la supereminente grandeza de su poder para con nosotros los que creemos, según la operación de la fuerza de su poder,

20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

20 el cual ejerció en Cristo, resucitándole de los muertos, y colocándole a su diestra en los lugares celestiales,

21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

21 sobre todo principado y autoridad, y poder y señorío, y sobre todo nombre que se nombra, no solo en este mundo, sino también en el venidero.

22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

22 Y sometió todas las cosas debajo de sus pies, y lo dio por cabeza sobre todas las cosas a la iglesia,

23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

23 la cual es su cuerpo, la plenitud de Aquel que todo lo llena en todo.
