1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

1 Si habéis, pues, resucitado con Cristo, buscad las cosas de arriba, donde está Cristo sentado a la diestra de Dios.

2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

2 Poned la mira en las cosas de arriba, no en las de la tierra.

3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

3 Porque habéis muerto, y vuestra vida está escondida con Cristo en Dios.

4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

4 Cuando Cristo, nuestra vida, se manifieste, entonces vosotros también seréis manifestados con él en gloria.

5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

5 Haced morir, pues, lo terrenal en vuestros miembros: fornicación, impureza, pasiones lascivas, malos deseos y avaricia, que es idolatría;

6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

6 cosas por las cuales la ira de Dios viene sobre los hijos de desobediencia.

7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

7 En las cuales vosotros también anduvisteis en otro tiempo cuando vivíais en ellas.

8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

8 Pero ahora, dejad también vosotros todas estas cosas: ira, enojo, malicia, maledicencia, palabras soeces de vuestra boca.

9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

9 No mintáis los unos a los otros, habiéndoos despojado del viejo hombre con sus hechos,

10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

10 y habiéndoos revestido del nuevo hombre, que es renovado hasta el conocimiento pleno, conforme a la imagen del que lo creó;

11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

11 donde no hay griego ni judío, circuncisión ni incircuncisión, bárbaro ni escita, esclavo ni libre, sino que Cristo es el todo, y en todos.

12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

12 Vestíos, pues, como escogidos de Dios, santos y amados, de entrañable misericordia, de benignidad, de humildad, de mansedumbre, de paciencia;

13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

13 soportándoos los unos a los otros, y perdonándoos los unos a los otros si alguno tuviere queja del otro; de la manera que Cristo os perdonó, así también hacedlo vosotros.

14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

14 Y sobre todas estas cosas vestíos de caridad, que es el vínculo de la perfección.

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

15 Y la paz de Dios gobierne en vuestros corazones, a la que asimismo fuisteis llamados en un solo cuerpo; y sed agradecidos.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

16 La palabra de Cristo habite en abundancia en vosotros, enseñándoos y exhortándoos los unos a los otros en toda sabiduría con salmos e himnos y cánticos espirituales, cantando con gratitud en vuestros corazones al Señor.

17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

17 Y todo lo que hacéis, sea de palabra, o de hecho, hacedlo todo en el nombre del Señor Jesús, dando gracias a Dios el Padre por medio de él.

18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

18 Casadas, estad sujetas a vuestros maridos, como conviene en el Señor.

19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

19 Maridos, amad a vuestras esposas, y no seáis ásperos con ellas.

20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

20 Hijos, obedeced a vuestros padres en todo, porque esto agrada al Señor.

21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

21 Padres, no provoquéis a ira a vuestros hijos, para que no se desanimen.

22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:

22 Esclavos, obedeced en todo a vuestros amos terrenales, no sirviendo al ojo, como los que agradan a los hombres, sino con sencillez de corazón, temiendo a Dios.

23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

23 Y todo lo que hagáis, hacedlo de corazón, como para el Señor, y no para los hombres,

24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

24 sabiendo que del Señor recibiréis la recompensa de la herencia, porque a Cristo el Señor servís.

25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

25 Pero el que hace injusticia, pagará por la injusticia que haya cometido, porque no hay acepción de personas.
