1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

1 Esto también debes saber: que en los postreros días vendrán tiempos peligrosos.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

2 Porque habrá hombres amadores de sí mismos, avaros, vanagloriosos, soberbios, blasfemos, desobedientes a sus padres, ingratos, impíos,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

3 sin afecto natural, implacables, calumniadores, sin dominio propio, crueles, aborrecedores de lo bueno,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

4 traidores, impetuosos, envanecidos, amadores de los deleites más que de Dios,

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

5 teniendo apariencia de piedad, pero negando la eficacia de ella; a estos evita.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

6 Porque de estos son los que se meten en las casas, y llevan cautivas a las mujercillas cargadas de pecados, llevadas por diversas concupiscencias;

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

7 que siempre están aprendiendo, pero nunca pueden llegar al conocimiento de la verdad.

8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

8 Y de la manera que Janes y Jambres resistieron a Moisés, así también estos resisten a la verdad; hombres corruptos de entendimiento, reprobados acerca de la fe.

9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

9 Pero no llegarán lejos, porque su insensatez será manifiesta a todos, como también lo fue la de aquellos.

10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

10 Pero tú has seguido fielmente mi doctrina, conducta, propósito, fe, longanimidad, amor, paciencia,

11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

11 persecuciones, aflicciones como las que me sobrevinieron en Antioquía, en Iconio, en Listra; persecuciones que he sufrido, pero de todas me ha librado el Señor.

12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

12 Y también todos los que quieren vivir piadosamente en Cristo Jesús, padecerán persecución.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

13 Pero los malos hombres y los engañadores irán de mal en peor, engañando y siendo engañados.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

14 Pero persiste tú en lo que has aprendido y te persuadiste, sabiendo de quién has aprendido;

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

15 y que desde la niñez has sabido las Sagradas Escrituras, las cuales te pueden hacer sabio para la salvación por la fe que es en Cristo Jesús.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

16 Toda Escritura es inspirada por Dios y útil para enseñar, para reprender, para corregir, para instruir en justicia,

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

17 a fin de que el hombre de Dios sea perfecto, enteramente instruido para toda buena obra.
