1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

1 Por lo cual, teniendo nosotros este ministerio según la misericordia que hemos alcanzado, no desfallecemos;

2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

2 antes bien, renunciamos a lo oculto y vergonzoso, no andando con astucia, ni adulterando la palabra de Dios, sino por la manifestación de la verdad, recomendándonos a nosotros mismos a toda conciencia humana delante de Dios.

3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

3 Pero si nuestro evangelio está aún encubierto, entre los que se pierden está encubierto;

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

4 en quienes el dios de este mundo cegó el entendimiento de los incrédulos, para que no les resplandezca la luz del evangelio de la gloria de Cristo, el que es la imagen de Dios.

5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

5 Porque no nos predicamos a nosotros mismos, sino a Jesucristo el Señor; y nosotros somos vuestros siervos por causa de Jesús.

6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

6 Porque Dios, que mandó que de las tinieblas resplandeciese la luz, es el que resplandeció en nuestros corazones, para iluminación del conocimiento de la gloria de Dios en la faz de Jesucristo.

7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

7 Pero tenemos este tesoro en vasos de barro, para que la excelencia del poder sea de Dios, y no de nosotros;

8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

8 estamos atribulados en todo, pero no angustiados; en apuros, pero no desesperados;

9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

9 perseguidos, pero no desamparados; abatidos, pero no destruidos;

10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

10 siempre llevamos en el cuerpo por todas partes la muerte de Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestros cuerpos.

11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

11 Porque nosotros que vivimos, siempre estamos entregados a muerte por causa de Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestra carne mortal.

12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

12 De manera que la muerte actúa en nosotros, pero en vosotros, la vida.

13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

13 Pero teniendo el mismo espíritu de fe, conforme a lo que está escrito: Creí, por lo cual hablé; nosotros también creemos, por lo cual también hablamos;

14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

14 sabiendo que el que levantó al Señor Jesús, a nosotros también nos resucitará por Jesús, y nos presentará juntamente con vosotros.

15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

15 Porque todas estas cosas padecemos por vosotros, para que abundando la gracia por medio de muchos, la acción de gracias sobreabunde para la gloria de Dios.

16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

16 Por tanto, no desfallecemos; antes bien, aunque nuestro hombre exterior se va desgastando, el interior, sin embargo, se renueva de día en día.

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

17 Porque esta momentánea y leve tribulación nuestra nos produce un cada vez más y eterno peso de gloria;

18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

18 no mirando nosotros las cosas que se ven, sino las que no se ven, porque las cosas que se ven son temporales, pero las que no se ven son eternas.
