1 Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.

1 Ojalá me toleraseis un poco de locura; sí, toleradme.

2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

2 Porque os celo con celo de Dios, pues os he desposado con un solo novio, para presentaros como una virgen pura a Cristo.

3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

3 Pero temo que, así como la serpiente engañó a Eva con su astucia, sean vuestros sentidos de alguna manera desviados de la sencillez que es en Cristo.

4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

4 Porque si viene alguno y predica a otro Jesús que el que hemos predicado, o si recibís otro espíritu que el que habéis recibido, u otro evangelio que el que habéis aceptado, bien lo toleráis.

5 For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.

5 Pues pienso que en nada he sido inferior a aquellos grandes apóstoles.

6 But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.

6 Porque aunque sea torpe en la palabra, no lo soy en el conocimiento; en todo y de todas maneras os lo hemos demostrado.

7 Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?

7 ¿Pequé yo humillándome a mí mismo, para que vosotros fueseis ensalzados, porque os he predicado el evangelio de Dios gratuitamente?

8 I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.

8 He despojado a otras iglesias, recibiendo sustento para ministraros a vosotros.

9 And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.

9 Y cuando estaba entre vosotros y tuve necesidad, para ninguno fui carga, porque lo que me faltaba, lo suplieron los hermanos que vinieron de Macedonia; y en todo me guardé y me guardaré de seros gravoso.

10 As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.

10 Por la verdad de Cristo que está en mí, no se me impedirá esta gloria en las regiones de Acaya.

11 Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth.

11 ¿Por qué? ¿Porque no os amo? ¡Dios lo sabe!

12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.

12 Pero lo que hago, lo seguiré haciendo, para quitar la ocasión a aquellos que la desean, a fin de que en aquello en que se glorían, sean hallados semejantes a nosotros.

13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

13 Porque estos son falsos apóstoles, obreros fraudulentos, que se hacen pasar por apóstoles de Cristo.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

14 Y no es de extrañar, porque el mismo Satanás se hace pasar por ángel de luz.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

15 Así que, no es extraño si también sus ministros se hacen pasar por ministros de rectitud, cuyo fin será conforme a sus obras.

16 I say again, Let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little.

16 Otra vez digo: Que nadie me tenga por loco; o de otra manera, recibidme como a loco, para que yo también me gloríe un poquito.

17 That which I speak, I speak it not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly, in this confidence of boasting.

17 Lo que hablo, no lo hablo según el Señor, sino como en locura, con esta confianza de gloriarme.

18 Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also.

18 Pues ya que muchos se glorían según la carne, también yo me gloriaré.

19 For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise.

19 Porque de buena gana toleráis a los necios, siendo vosotros sabios.

20 For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face.

20 Porque toleráis si alguno os pone en servidumbre, si alguno os devora, si alguno toma de lo vuestro, si alguno se ensalza, si alguno os golpea en la cara.

21 I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak. Howbeit whereinsoever any is bold, (I speak foolishly,) I am bold also.

21 Para vergüenza mía lo digo, para eso fuimos demasiado débiles. Pero en lo que otro tuviere osadía (hablo con locura), también yo tengo osadía.

22 Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I.

22 ¿Son hebreos? Yo también. ¿Son israelitas? Yo también. ¿Son descendientes de Abraham? También yo.

23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.

23 ¿Son ministros de Cristo? (Como si estuviese loco hablo). Yo más: en trabajos, más abundante; en azotes, sin número; en cárceles, más; en peligros de muerte, muchas veces.

24 Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.

24 De los judíos cinco veces he recibido cuarenta azotes menos uno.

25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;

25 Tres veces he sido azotado con varas; una vez apedreado; tres veces he padecido naufragio; una noche y un día he estado a la deriva en alta mar;

26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;

26 en caminos muchas veces, peligros de ríos, peligros de ladrones, peligros de los de mi nación, peligros de los gentiles, peligros en la ciudad, en peligros en el desierto, peligros en el mar, peligros entre falsos hermanos;

27 In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

27 en trabajo y fatiga, en muchos desvelos, en hambre y sed, en muchos ayunos, en frío y en desnudez.

28 Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.

28 Y además de esas cosas, lo que sobre mí pesa cada día es la preocupación por todas las iglesias.

29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?

29 ¿Quién es débil sin que yo me debilite? ¿A quién se le hace tropezar, sin que yo no me indigne?

30 If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.

30 Si es menester gloriarme, me gloriaré de lo que es mi debilidad.

31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.

31 El Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, quien es bendito por los siglos, sabe que no miento.

32 In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me:

32 En Damasco, el gobernador de la provincia del rey Aretas guardaba la ciudad de los damascenos para prenderme;

33 And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.

33 y fui descolgado del muro en un cesto por una ventana, y escapé de sus manos.
