1 Verily, thus saith the Lord unto you concerning the Apocrypha—There are many things contained therein that are true, and it is mostly translated correctly;

1 De cierto, así dice el Señor concerniente a los libros apócrifos: Contienen muchas cosas verdaderas, y en su mayoría se han traducido correctamente;

2 There are many things contained therein that are not true, which are interpolations by the hands of men.

2 hay muchas cosas en ellos que no son verdaderas, que son interpolaciones de los hombres.

3 Verily, I say unto you, that it is not needful that the Apocrypha should be translated.

3 De cierto os digo, que no es necesario que los libros apócrifos sean traducidos.

4 Therefore, whoso readeth it, let him understand, for the Spirit manifesteth truth;

4 Por tanto, quien los lea, que entienda, porque el Espíritu manifiesta la verdad;

5 And whoso is enlightened by the Spirit shall obtain benefit therefrom;

5 y el que sea iluminado por el Espíritu logrará beneficio de ellos;

6 And whoso receiveth not by the Spirit, cannot be benefited. Therefore it is not needful that it should be translated. Amen.

6 y el que no reciba por medio del Espíritu no puede beneficiarse. Por consiguiente, no es necesario que sean traducidos. Amén.
