1 Verily, thus saith the Lord unto you who have assembled yourselves together to receive his will concerning you:

1 De cierto, así dice el Señor a los que os habéis reunido para recibir su voluntad concerniente a vosotros:

2 Behold, this is pleasing unto your Lord, and the angels rejoice over you; the alms of your prayers have come up into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth, and are recorded in the book of the names of the sanctified, even them of the celestial world.

2 He aquí, esto es agradable a vuestro Señor, y los ángeles se regocijan a causa de vosotros; las ofrendas de vuestras oraciones han subido a los oídos del Señor de Sabaot y están inscritas en el libro de los nombres de los santificados, a saber, los del mundo celestial.

3 Wherefore, I now send upon you another Comforter, even upon you my friends, that it may abide in your hearts, even the Holy Spirit of promise; which other Comforter is the same that I promised unto my disciples, as is recorded in the testimony of John.

3 Por tanto, ahora os envío a vosotros, mis amigos, otro Consolador, el Santo Espíritu de la promesa, para que permanezca en vuestros corazones; y este otro Consolador es el mismo que prometí a mis discípulos, según se halla escrito en el testimonio de Juan.

4 This Comforter is the promise which I give unto you of eternal life, even the glory of the celestial kingdom;

4 Este Consolador es la promesa que os doy de vida eterna, sí, la gloria del reino celestial;

5 Which glory is that of the church of the Firstborn, even of God, the holiest of all, through Jesus Christ his Son—

5 y esta gloria es la de la iglesia del Primogénito, sí, de Dios, el más santo de todos, mediante Jesucristo su Hijo,

6 He that ascended up on high, as also he descended below all things, in that he comprehended all things, that he might be in all and through all things, the light of truth;

6 quien ascendió a lo alto, como también descendió debajo de todo, por lo que comprendió todas las cosas, a fin de que estuviese en todas las cosas y a través de todas las cosas, la luz de la verdad,

7 Which truth shineth. This is the light of Christ. As also he is in the sun, and the light of the sun, and the power thereof by which it was made.

7 la cual verdad brilla. Esta es la luz de Cristo. Como también él está en el sol, y es la luz del sol, y el poder por el cual fue hecho.

8 As also he is in the moon, and is the light of the moon, and the power thereof by which it was made;

8 Como también está en la luna, y es la luz de la luna, y el poder por el cual fue hecha;

9 As also the light of the stars, and the power thereof by which they were made;

9 como también la luz de las estrellas, y el poder por el cual fueron hechas.

10 And the earth also, and the power thereof, even the earth upon which you stand.

10 Y la tierra también, y el poder de ella, sí, la tierra sobre la cual estáis.

11 And the light which shineth, which giveth you light, is through him who enlighteneth your eyes, which is the same light that quickeneth your understandings;

11 Y la luz que brilla, que os alumbra, viene por medio de aquel que ilumina vuestros ojos, y es la misma luz que vivifica vuestro entendimiento,

12 Which light proceedeth forth from the presence of God to fill the immensity of space—

12 la cual procede de la presencia de Dios para llenar la inmensidad del espacio,

13 The light which is in all things, which giveth life to all things, which is the law by which all things are governed, even the power of God who sitteth upon his throne, who is in the bosom of eternity, who is in the midst of all things.

13 la luz que existe en todas las cosas, que da vida a todas las cosas, que es la ley por la cual se gobiernan todas las cosas, sí, el poder de Dios que se sienta sobre su trono, que existe en el seno de la eternidad, que está en medio de todas las cosas.

14 Now, verily I say unto you, that through the redemption which is made for you is brought to pass the resurrection from the dead.

14 Ahora, de cierto os digo que mediante la redención que se ha hecho por vosotros, se lleva a efecto la resurrección de los muertos.

15 And the spirit and the body are the soul of man.

15 Y el espíritu y el cuerpo son el alma del hombre.

16 And the resurrection from the dead is the redemption of the soul.

16 Y la resurrección de los muertos es la redención del alma.

17 And the redemption of the soul is through him that quickeneth all things, in whose bosom it is decreed that the poor and the meek of the earth shall inherit it.

17 Y la redención del alma viene por medio del que vivifica todas las cosas, en cuyo seno se ha decretado que los pobres y los mansos de la tierra la heredarán.

18 Therefore, it must needs be sanctified from all unrighteousness, that it may be prepared for the celestial glory;

18 Por tanto, es menester que sea santificada de toda injusticia, a fin de estar preparada para la gloria celestial;

19 For after it hath filled the measure of its creation, it shall be crowned with glory, even with the presence of God the Father;

19 porque después de haber cumplido la medida de su creación, será coronada de gloria, sí, con la presencia de Dios el Padre;

20 That bodies who are of the celestial kingdom may possess it forever and ever; for, for this intent was it made and created, and for this intent are they sanctified.

20 para que los cuerpos que son del reino celestial la posean para siempre jamás; porque para este fin fue hecha y creada, y para este fin ellos son santificados.

21 And they who are not sanctified through the law which I have given unto you, even the law of Christ, must inherit another kingdom, even that of a terrestrial kingdom, or that of a telestial kingdom.

21 Y aquellos que no son santificados por la ley que os he dado, a saber, la ley de Cristo, deberán heredar otro reino, ya sea un reino terrestre o un reino telestial.

22 For he who is not able to abide the law of a celestial kingdom cannot abide a celestial glory.

22 Porque el que no es capaz de obedecer la ley de un reino celestial, no puede soportar una gloria celestial.

23 And he who cannot abide the law of a terrestrial kingdom cannot abide a terrestrial glory.

23 Y el que no puede obedecer la ley de un reino terrestre, no puede soportar una gloria terrestre.

24 And he who cannot abide the law of a telestial kingdom cannot abide a telestial glory; therefore he is not meet for a kingdom of glory. Therefore he must abide a kingdom which is not a kingdom of glory.

24 Y el que no puede obedecer la ley de un reino telestial, no puede soportar una gloria telestial; por tanto, no es digno de un reino de gloria. Por consiguiente, deberá soportar un reino que no es de gloria.

25 And again, verily I say unto you, the earth abideth the law of a celestial kingdom, for it filleth the measure of its creation, and transgresseth not the law—

25 Y además, de cierto os digo que la tierra obedece la ley de un reino celestial, porque cumple la medida de su creación y no traspasa la ley;

26 Wherefore, it shall be sanctified; yea, notwithstanding it shall die, it shall be quickened again, and shall abide the power by which it is quickened, and the righteous shall inherit it.

26 así que, será santificada; sí, a pesar de que morirá, será vivificada de nuevo; y aguantará el poder que la vivifica, y los justos la heredarán.

27 For notwithstanding they die, they also shall rise again, a spiritual body.

27 Porque a pesar de que mueren, también ellos se levantarán, cuerpos espirituales.

28 They who are of a celestial spirit shall receive the same body which was a natural body; even ye shall receive your bodies, and your glory shall be that glory by which your bodies are quickened.

28 Aquellos que son de un espíritu celestial recibirán el mismo cuerpo que fue el cuerpo natural; sí, vosotros recibiréis vuestros cuerpos, y vuestra gloria será aquella por medio de la cual vuestro cuerpo sea vivificado.

29 Ye who are quickened by a portion of the celestial glory shall then receive of the same, even a fulness.

29 Vosotros los que seáis vivificados por una porción de la gloria celestial, recibiréis entonces de ella, sí, una plenitud.

30 And they who are quickened by a portion of the terrestrial glory shall then receive of the same, even a fulness.

30 Y los que sean vivificados por una porción de la gloria terrestre, recibirán entonces de ella, sí, una plenitud.

31 And also they who are quickened by a portion of the telestial glory shall then receive of the same, even a fulness.

31 Y también los que sean vivificados por una porción de la gloria telestial, recibirán entonces de ella, sí, una plenitud.

32 And they who remain shall also be quickened; nevertheless, they shall return again to their own place, to enjoy that which they are willing to receive, because they were not willing to enjoy that which they might have received.

32 Y los que queden serán vivificados también; sin embargo, volverán otra vez a su propio lugar para gozar de lo que están dispuestos a recibir, porque no quisieron gozar de lo que pudieron haber recibido.

33 For what doth it profit a man if a gift is bestowed upon him, and he receive not the gift? Behold, he rejoices not in that which is given unto him, neither rejoices in him who is the giver of the gift.

33 Porque, ¿en qué se beneficia el hombre a quien se le confiere un don, si no lo recibe? He aquí, ni se regocija con lo que le es dado, ni se regocija en aquel que le dio la dádiva.

34 And again, verily I say unto you, that which is governed by law is also preserved by law and perfected and sanctified by the same.

34 Y además, de cierto os digo que lo que la ley gobierna, también preserva, y por ella es perfeccionado y santificado.

35 That which breaketh a law, and abideth not by law, but seeketh to become a law unto itself, and willeth to abide in sin, and altogether abideth in sin, cannot be sanctified by law, neither by mercy, justice, nor judgment. Therefore, they must remain filthy still.

35 Aquello que traspasa una ley, y no se rige por la ley, antes procura ser una ley a sí mismo, y dispone permanecer en el pecado, y del todo permanece en el pecado, no puede ser santificado por la ley, ni por la misericordia, ni por la justicia ni por el juicio. Por tanto, tendrá que permanecer sucio aún.

36 All kingdoms have a law given;

36 A todos los reinos se ha dado una ley;

37 And there are many kingdoms; for there is no space in the which there is no kingdom; and there is no kingdom in which there is no space, either a greater or a lesser kingdom.

37 y hay muchos reinos; pues no hay espacio en el cual no haya reino; ni hay reino en el cual no haya espacio, bien sea un reino mayor o menor.

38 And unto every kingdom is given a law; and unto every law there are certain bounds also and conditions.

38 Y a cada reino se le ha dado una ley; y para cada ley también hay ciertos límites y condiciones.

39 All beings who abide not in those conditions are not justified.

39 Todos los seres que no se sujetan a esas condiciones no son justificados.

40 For intelligence cleaveth unto intelligence; wisdom receiveth wisdom; truth embraceth truth; virtue loveth virtue; light cleaveth unto light; mercy hath compassion on mercy and claimeth her own; justice continueth its course and claimeth its own; judgment goeth before the face of him who sitteth upon the throne and governeth and executeth all things.

40 Porque la inteligencia se allega a la inteligencia; la sabiduría recibe a la sabiduría; la verdad abraza a la verdad; la virtud ama a la virtud; la luz se allega a la luz; la misericordia tiene compasión de la misericordia y reclama lo suyo; la justicia sigue su curso y reclama lo suyo; el juicio va ante la faz de aquel que se sienta sobre el trono y gobierna y ejecuta todas las cosas.

41 He comprehendeth all things, and all things are before him, and all things are round about him; and he is above all things, and in all things, and is through all things, and is round about all things; and all things are by him, and of him, even God, forever and ever.

41 Él comprende todas las cosas, y todas las cosas están delante de él, y todas las cosas están alrededor de él; y él está sobre todas las cosas, y en todas las cosas, y por en medio de todas las cosas, y circunda todas las cosas; y todas las cosas son por él, y de él, sí, Dios, para siempre jamás.

42 And again, verily I say unto you, he hath given a law unto all things, by which they move in their times and their seasons;

42 Y además, de cierto os digo, él ha dado una ley a todas las cosas, mediante la cual se mueven en sus tiempos y estaciones;

43 And their courses are fixed, even the courses of the heavens and the earth, which comprehend the earth and all the planets.

43 y sus cursos son fijos, sí, los cursos de los cielos y de la tierra, que comprenden la tierra y todos los planetas.

44 And they give light to each other in their times and in their seasons, in their minutes, in their hours, in their days, in their weeks, in their months, in their years—all these are one year with God, but not with man.

44 Y se dan luz unos a otros en sus tiempos y estaciones, en sus minutos, en sus horas, sus días, sus semanas, sus meses y sus años. Todos estos son un año para Dios, mas no para el hombre.

45 The earth rolls upon her wings, and the sun giveth his light by day, and the moon giveth her light by night, and the stars also give their light, as they roll upon their wings in their glory, in the midst of the power of God.

45 La tierra rueda sobre sus alas, y el sol da su luz de día, y la luna da su luz de noche, y las estrellas también dan su luz, a medida que ruedan sobre sus alas en su gloria, en medio del poder de Dios.

46 Unto what shall I liken these kingdoms, that ye may understand?

46 ¿A qué compararé estos reinos para que comprendáis?

47 Behold, all these are kingdoms, and any man who hath seen any or the least of these hath seen God moving in his majesty and power.

47 He aquí, todos estos son reinos, y el hombre que ha visto a cualquiera o al menor de ellos, ha visto a Dios obrando en su majestad y poder.

48 I say unto you, he hath seen him; nevertheless, he who came unto his own was not comprehended.

48 Os digo que lo ha visto; sin embargo, aquel que vino a los suyos no fue comprendido.

49 The light shineth in darkness, and the darkness comprehendeth it not; nevertheless, the day shall come when you shall comprehend even God, being quickened in him and by him.

49 La luz en las tinieblas resplandece, y las tinieblas no la comprenden; no obstante, el día vendrá en que comprenderéis aun a Dios, siendo vivificados en él y por él.

50 Then shall ye know that ye have seen me, that I am, and that I am the true light that is in you, and that you are in me; otherwise ye could not abound.

50 Entonces sabréis que me habéis visto, que yo soy, y que soy la luz verdadera que en vosotros está, y que vosotros estáis en mí; de lo contrario no podríais abundar.

51 Behold, I will liken these kingdoms unto a man having a field, and he sent forth his servants into the field to dig in the field.

51 He aquí, compararé estos reinos a un hombre que tiene un campo, y envió a sus siervos a cavar en él.

52 And he said unto the first: Go ye and labor in the field, and in the first hour I will come unto you, and ye shall behold the joy of my countenance.

52 Y dijo al primero: Ve y trabaja en el campo, y en la primera hora vendré a ti, y verás el gozo de mi semblante.

53 And he said unto the second: Go ye also into the field, and in the second hour I will visit you with the joy of my countenance.

53 Y dijo al segundo: Ve tú también al campo, y en la segunda hora te visitaré con el gozo de mi semblante;

54 And also unto the third, saying: I will visit you;

54 y también al tercero, diciendo: Te visitaré;

55 And unto the fourth, and so on unto the twelfth.

55 y al cuarto, y así hasta el duodécimo.

56 And the lord of the field went unto the first in the first hour, and tarried with him all that hour, and he was made glad with the light of the countenance of his lord.

56 Y el señor del campo visitó al primero en la primera hora, y permaneció con él toda aquella hora, y se alegró con la luz del semblante de su señor.

57 And then he withdrew from the first that he might visit the second also, and the third, and the fourth, and so on unto the twelfth.

57 Entonces se retiró del primero para visitar también al segundo, y al tercero, y al cuarto, y así hasta el duodécimo.

58 And thus they all received the light of the countenance of their lord, every man in his hour, and in his time, and in his season—

58 Y así, todos recibieron la luz del semblante de su señor, cada hombre en su hora, en su tiempo y en su sazón,

59 Beginning at the first, and so on unto the last, and from the last unto the first, and from the first unto the last;

59 empezando por el primero, y así hasta el último; y desde el último hasta el primero; y desde el primero hasta el último;

60 Every man in his own order, until his hour was finished, even according as his lord had commanded him, that his lord might be glorified in him, and he in his lord, that they all might be glorified.

60 cada hombre en su propio orden hasta que se cumplió su hora, de acuerdo con lo que su señor le había mandado, para que su señor se glorificara en él, y él en su señor, a fin de que todos fuesen glorificados.

61 Therefore, unto this parable I will liken all these kingdoms, and the inhabitants thereof—every kingdom in its hour, and in its time, and in its season, even according to the decree which God hath made.

61 Por consiguiente, compararé todos estos reinos y sus habitantes a esta parábola, cada reino en su hora y en su tiempo y su sazón, de acuerdo con el decreto que Dios ha establecido.

62 And again, verily I say unto you, my friends, I leave these sayings with you to ponder in your hearts, with this commandment which I give unto you, that ye shall call upon me while I am near—

62 Y además, de cierto os digo, mis amigos, os dejo estas palabras para que las meditéis en vuestro corazón, junto con este mandamiento que os doy, de llamarme mientras estoy cerca.

63 Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me; ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

63 Allegaos a mí, y yo me allegaré a vosotros; buscadme diligentemente, y me hallaréis; pedid, y recibiréis; llamad, y se os abrirá;

64 Whatsoever ye ask the Father in my name it shall be given unto you, that is expedient for you;

64 cualquier cosa que le pidáis al Padre en mi nombre os será dada, si es para vuestro bien;

65 And if ye ask anything that is not expedient for you, it shall turn unto your condemnation.

65 y si pedís algo que no os conviene, se tornará para vuestra condenación.

66 Behold, that which you hear is as the voice of one crying in the wilderness—in the wilderness, because you cannot see him—my voice, because my voice is Spirit; my Spirit is truth; truth abideth and hath no end; and if it be in you it shall abound.

66 He aquí, lo que oís es como la voz de uno que clama en el desierto—en el desierto, porque no lo podéis ver—mi voz, porque mi voz es Espíritu; mi Espíritu es verdad; la verdad perdura y no tiene fin; y si está en vosotros, abundará.

67 And if your eye be single to my glory, your whole bodies shall be filled with light, and there shall be no darkness in you; and that body which is filled with light comprehendeth all things.

67 Y si vuestra mira está puesta únicamente en mi gloria, vuestro cuerpo entero será lleno de luz y no habrá tinieblas en vosotros; y el cuerpo lleno de luz comprende todas las cosas.

68 Therefore, sanctify yourselves that your minds become single to God, and the days will come that you shall see him; for he will unveil his face unto you, and it shall be in his own time, and in his own way, and according to his own will.

68 Por tanto, santificaos para que vuestras mentes se enfoquen únicamente en Dios, y vendrán los días en que lo veréis, porque os descubrirá su faz; y será en su propio tiempo y a su propia manera, y de acuerdo con su propia voluntad.

69 Remember the great and last promise which I have made unto you; cast away your idle thoughts and your excess of laughter far from you.

69 Recordad la grande y última promesa que os he hecho; desechad vuestros pensamientos ociosos y risa excesiva de entre vosotros.

70 Tarry ye, tarry ye in this place, and call a solemn assembly, even of those who are the first laborers in this last kingdom.

70 Deteneos, deteneos, en este lugar, y convocad una asamblea solemne de aquellos que son los primeros obreros en este último reino.

71 And let those whom they have warned in their traveling call on the Lord, and ponder the warning in their hearts which they have received, for a little season.

71 E invoquen al Señor los que han sido amonestados por ellos en sus viajes, y mediten en sus corazones, por una corta temporada, la amonestación que han recibido.

72 Behold, and lo, I will take care of your flocks, and will raise up elders and send unto them.

72 He aquí, yo me encargaré de vuestros rebaños, y levantaré élderes y los enviaré a ellos.

73 Behold, I will hasten my work in its time.

73 He aquí, apresuraré mi obra en su tiempo.

74 And I give unto you, who are the first laborers in this last kingdom, a commandment that you assemble yourselves together, and organize yourselves, and prepare yourselves, and sanctify yourselves; yea, purify your hearts, and cleanse your hands and your feet before me, that I may make you clean;

74 Y os doy a vosotros, que sois los primeros obreros en este último reino, el mandamiento de que os reunáis, y de que os organicéis, os preparéis y santifiquéis; sí, purificad vuestro corazón y limpiad vuestras manos y vuestros pies ante mí, para que yo os haga limpios;

75 That I may testify unto your Father, and your God, and my God, that you are clean from the blood of this wicked generation; that I may fulfil this promise, this great and last promise, which I have made unto you, when I will.

75 a fin de que yo testifique a vuestro Padre, y vuestro Dios y mi Dios, que sois limpios de la sangre de esta perversa generación; para que yo cumpla esta promesa, esta grande y última promesa que os he hecho, cuando sea mi voluntad.

76 Also, I give unto you a commandment that ye shall continue in prayer and fasting from this time forth.

76 También os doy el mandamiento de perseverar en la oración y el ayuno desde ahora en adelante.

77 And I give unto you a commandment that you shall teach one another the doctrine of the kingdom.

77 Y os mando que os enseñéis el uno al otro la doctrina del reino.

78 Teach ye diligently and my grace shall attend you, that you may be instructed more perfectly in theory, in principle, in doctrine, in the law of the gospel, in all things that pertain unto the kingdom of God, that are expedient for you to understand;

78 Enseñaos diligentemente, y mi gracia os acompañará, para que seáis más perfectamente instruidos en teoría, en principio, en doctrina, en la ley del evangelio, en todas las cosas que pertenecen al reino de Dios, que os conviene comprender;

79 Of things both in heaven and in the earth, and under the earth; things which have been, things which are, things which must shortly come to pass; things which are at home, things which are abroad; the wars and the perplexities of the nations, and the judgments which are on the land; and a knowledge also of countries and of kingdoms—

79 de cosas tanto en el cielo como en la tierra, y debajo de la tierra; cosas que han sido, que son y que pronto han de acontecer; cosas que existen en el país, cosas que existen en el extranjero; las guerras y perplejidades de las naciones, y los juicios que se ciernen sobre el país; y también el conocimiento de los países y de los reinos,

80 That ye may be prepared in all things when I shall send you again to magnify the calling whereunto I have called you, and the mission with which I have commissioned you.

80 a fin de que estéis preparados en todas las cosas, cuando de nuevo os envíe a magnificar el llamamiento al cual os he nombrado y la misión con la que os he comisionado.

81 Behold, I sent you out to testify and warn the people, and it becometh every man who hath been warned to warn his neighbor.

81 He aquí, os envié para testificar y amonestar al pueblo, y conviene que todo hombre que ha sido amonestado, amoneste a su prójimo.

82 Therefore, they are left without excuse, and their sins are upon their own heads.

82 Por tanto, quedan sin excusa, y sus pecados descansan sobre su propia cabeza.

83 He that seeketh me early shall find me, and shall not be forsaken.

83 El que temprano me busca, me hallará, y no será abandonado.

84 Therefore, tarry ye, and labor diligently, that you may be perfected in your ministry to go forth among the Gentiles for the last time, as many as the mouth of the Lord shall name, to bind up the law and seal up the testimony, and to prepare the saints for the hour of judgment which is to come;

84 Permaneced, pues, y trabajad diligentemente, para que seáis perfeccionados en vuestro ministerio de ir entre los gentiles por última vez, cuantos la boca del Señor llame, para atar la ley y sellar el testimonio, y preparar a los santos para la hora del juicio que ha de venir;

85 That their souls may escape the wrath of God, the desolation of abomination which awaits the wicked, both in this world and in the world to come. Verily, I say unto you, let those who are not the first elders continue in the vineyard until the mouth of the Lord shall call them, for their time is not yet come; their garments are not clean from the blood of this generation.

85 a fin de que sus almas escapen de la ira de Dios, la abominación desoladora que espera a los malvados, tanto en este mundo como en el venidero. De cierto os digo, continúen en la viña aquellos que no son los primeros élderes, hasta que la boca del Señor los llame, porque su tiempo no ha llegado aún; sus vestidos no están limpios de la sangre de esta generación.

86 Abide ye in the liberty wherewith ye are made free; entangle not yourselves in sin, but let your hands be clean, until the Lord comes.

86 Perseverad en la libertad mediante la cual se os hace libres; no os enredéis en el pecado, sino queden limpias vuestras manos hasta que el Señor venga.

87 For not many days hence and the earth shall tremble and reel to and fro as a drunken man; and the sun shall hide his face, and shall refuse to give light; and the moon shall be bathed in blood; and the stars shall become exceedingly angry, and shall cast themselves down as a fig that falleth from off a fig tree.

87 Porque de aquí a poco tiempo, la tierra temblará y se tambaleará como un borracho; y el sol esconderá su faz y se negará a dar luz; y la luna será bañada en sangre; y las estrellas se irritarán extremadamente, y se lanzarán hacia abajo como el higo que cae de la higuera.

88 And after your testimony cometh wrath and indignation upon the people.

88 Y después de vuestro testimonio vienen la ira y la indignación sobre el pueblo.

89 For after your testimony cometh the testimony of earthquakes, that shall cause groanings in the midst of her, and men shall fall upon the ground and shall not be able to stand.

89 Porque después de vuestro testimonio viene el testimonio de terremotos que causarán gemidos en el centro de la tierra, y los hombres caerán al suelo y no podrán permanecer en pie.

90 And also cometh the testimony of the voice of thunderings, and the voice of lightnings, and the voice of tempests, and the voice of the waves of the sea heaving themselves beyond their bounds.

90 Y también viene el testimonio de la voz de truenos, y la voz de relámpagos, y la voz de tempestades, y la voz de las olas del mar que se precipitan allende sus límites.

91 And all things shall be in commotion; and surely, men's hearts shall fail them; for fear shall come upon all people.

91 Y todas las cosas estarán en conmoción; y de cierto, desfallecerá el corazón de los hombres, porque el temor vendrá sobre todo pueblo.

92 And angels shall fly through the midst of heaven, crying with a loud voice, sounding the trump of God, saying: Prepare ye, prepare ye, O inhabitants of the earth; for the judgment of our God is come. Behold, and lo, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

92 Y ángeles volarán por en medio del cielo, clamando en voz alta, tocando la trompeta de Dios, diciendo: Preparaos, preparaos, oh habitantes de la tierra, porque el juicio de nuestro Dios ha llegado. He aquí, el Esposo viene; salid a recibirlo.

93 And immediately there shall appear a great sign in heaven, and all people shall see it together.

94 And another angel shall sound his trump, saying: That great church, the mother of abominations, that made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, that persecuteth the saints of God, that shed their blood—she who sitteth upon many waters, and upon the islands of the sea—behold, she is the tares of the earth; she is bound in bundles; her bands are made strong, no man can loose them; therefore, she is ready to be burned. And he shall sound his trump both long and loud, and all nations shall hear it.

94 Y otro ángel tocará su trompeta, diciendo: Esa grande iglesia, la madre de las abominaciones, que hizo que todas las naciones bebieran del vino de la ira de su fornicación, que persigue a los santos de Dios, que derrama su sangre, la misma que se sienta sobre muchas aguas y sobre las islas del mar, he aquí, ella es la cizaña de la tierra; es atada en haces; sus ligaduras son afianzadas y nadie las puede soltar; por tanto, está presta para ser quemada. Y él tocará su trompeta larga y fuertemente, y todas las naciones la oirán.

95 And there shall be silence in heaven for the space of half an hour; and immediately after shall the curtain of heaven be unfolded, as a scroll is unfolded after it is rolled up, and the face of the Lord shall be unveiled;

95 Y habrá silencio en el cielo por espacio de media hora; e inmediatamente después se desplegará el velo del cielo, como un rollo que se desenvuelve después de haber sido arrollado, y la faz del Señor será descubierta.

96 And the saints that are upon the earth, who are alive, shall be quickened and be caught up to meet him.

97 And they who have slept in their graves shall come forth, for their graves shall be opened; and they also shall be caught up to meet him in the midst of the pillar of heaven—

97 Y los que hayan dormido en sus sepulcros saldrán, porque serán abiertos sus sepulcros; y también ellos serán arrebatados para recibirlo en medio del pilar del cielo.

98 They are Christ's, the first fruits, they who shall descend with him first, and they who are on the earth and in their graves, who are first caught up to meet him; and all this by the voice of the sounding of the trump of the angel of God.

98 Ellos son de Cristo, las primicias, los que descenderán con él primero, y los que se encuentran en la tierra y en sus sepulcros, que son los primeros en ser arrebatados para recibirlo; y todo esto por la voz del son de la trompeta del ángel de Dios.

99 And after this another angel shall sound, which is the second trump; and then cometh the redemption of those who are Christ's at his coming; who have received their part in that prison which is prepared for them, that they might receive the gospel, and be judged according to men in the flesh.

99 Y después de esto, otro ángel tocará, y será la segunda trompeta; y entonces viene la redención de los que son de Cristo a su venida, los que han recibido su parte en aquella prisión preparada para ellos, a fin de que recibiesen el evangelio y fuesen juzgados según los hombres en la carne.

100 And again, another trump shall sound, which is the third trump; and then come the spirits of men who are to be judged, and are found under condemnation;

100 Y además, sonará otra trompeta, que es la tercera trompeta; y entonces vienen los espíritus de los hombres que han de ser juzgados, y que se hallan bajo condenación.

101 And these are the rest of the dead; and they live not again until the thousand years are ended, neither again, until the end of the earth.

101 Y estos son el resto de los muertos; y no vuelven a vivir sino hasta que pasen los mil años, ni volverán a vivir hasta el fin de la tierra.

102 And another trump shall sound, which is the fourth trump, saying: There are found among those who are to remain until that great and last day, even the end, who shall remain filthy still.

102 Y sonará otra trompeta, que es la cuarta trompeta, diciendo: Se encuentran entre los que han de quedar hasta ese grande y postrer día, sí, el fin, quienes permanecerán sucios aún.

103 And another trump shall sound, which is the fifth trump, which is the fifth angel who committeth the everlasting gospel—flying through the midst of heaven, unto all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people;

103 Y otra trompeta sonará, la cual es la quinta trompeta, y es el quinto ángel que vuela por en medio del cielo y entrega el evangelio eterno a todas las naciones, tribus, lenguas y pueblos;

104 And this shall be the sound of his trump, saying to all people, both in heaven and in earth, and that are under the earth—for every ear shall hear it, and every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess, while they hear the sound of the trump, saying: Fear God, and give glory to him who sitteth upon the throne, forever and ever; for the hour of his judgment is come.

104 y este será el sonido de su trompeta, diciendo a todo pueblo, tanto en el cielo como en la tierra y debajo de la tierra; porque todo oído lo oirá, y toda rodilla se doblará, y toda lengua confesará, al escuchar el sonido de la trompeta, que dice: Temed a Dios y dad gloria al que se sienta sobre el trono, para siempre jamás; porque la hora de su juicio ha llegado.

105 And again, another angel shall sound his trump, which is the sixth angel, saying: She is fallen who made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication; she is fallen, is fallen!

106 And again, another angel shall sound his trump, which is the seventh angel, saying: It is finished; it is finished! The Lamb of God hath overcome and trodden the wine-press alone, even the wine-press of the fierceness of the wrath of Almighty God.

106 Y otro ángel más, que es el séptimo ángel, tocará su trompeta, diciendo: ¡Consumado es; consumado es! El Cordero de Dios ha vencido y pisado él solo el lagar, sí, el lagar del furor de la ira del Dios Omnipotente.

107 And then shall the angels be crowned with the glory of his might, and the saints shall be filled with his glory, and receive their inheritance and be made equal with him.

107 Y entonces serán coronados los ángeles con la gloria de la potencia de él, y los santos serán llenos de la gloria de él, y recibirán su herencia y serán hechos iguales con él.

108 And then shall the first angel again sound his trump in the ears of all living, and reveal the secret acts of men, and the mighty works of God in the first thousand years.

109 And then shall the second angel sound his trump, and reveal the secret acts of men, and the thoughts and intents of their hearts, and the mighty works of God in the second thousand years—

110 And so on, until the seventh angel shall sound his trump; and he shall stand forth upon the land and upon the sea, and swear in the name of him who sitteth upon the throne, that there shall be time no longer; and Satan shall be bound, that old serpent, who is called the devil, and shall not be loosed for the space of a thousand years.

110 Y así, hasta que el séptimo ángel toque su trompeta; y estará de pie sobre la tierra y sobre el mar, y jurará en el nombre del que se sienta sobre el trono, que el tiempo dejará de ser; y Satanás será atado, aquella serpiente antigua que es llamada el diablo, y no será desatado por espacio de mil años.

111 And then he shall be loosed for a little season, that he may gather together his armies.

111 Y entonces quedará suelto por una corta temporada, para reunir a sus ejércitos.

112 And Michael, the seventh angel, even the archangel, shall gather together his armies, even the hosts of heaven.

112 Y Miguel, el séptimo ángel, el arcángel, reunirá a sus ejércitos, sí, las huestes del cielo.

113 And the devil shall gather together his armies; even the hosts of hell, and shall come up to battle against Michael and his armies.

114 And then cometh the battle of the great God; and the devil and his armies shall be cast away into their own place, that they shall not have power over the saints any more at all.

115 For Michael shall fight their battles, and shall overcome him who seeketh the throne of him who sitteth upon the throne, even the Lamb.

116 This is the glory of God, and the sanctified; and they shall not any more see death.

117 Therefore, verily I say unto you, my friends, call your solemn assembly, as I have commanded you.

118 And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith.

118 Y por cuanto no todos tienen fe, buscad diligentemente y enseñaos el uno al otro palabras de sabiduría; sí, buscad palabras de sabiduría de los mejores libros; buscad conocimiento, tanto por el estudio como por la fe.

119 Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God;

119 Organizaos; preparad todo lo que fuere necesario; y estableced una casa, sí, una casa de oración, una casa de ayuno, una casa de fe, una casa de instrucción, una casa de gloria, una casa de orden, una casa de Dios;

120 That your incomings may be in the name of the Lord; that your outgoings may be in the name of the Lord; that all your salutations may be in the name of the Lord, with uplifted hands unto the Most High.

120 para que vuestras entradas sean en el nombre del Señor; vuestras salidas sean en el nombre del Señor; y todas vuestras salutaciones sean en el nombre del Señor, con las manos extendidas hacia el Altísimo.

121 Therefore, cease from all your light speeches, from all laughter, from all your lustful desires, from all your pride and light-mindedness, and from all your wicked doings.

121 Por consiguiente, cesad de todas vuestras conversaciones livianas, de toda risa, de todos vuestros deseos de concupiscencia, de todo vuestro orgullo y frivolidad y de todos vuestros hechos malos.

122 Appoint among yourselves a teacher, and let not all be spokesmen at once; but let one speak at a time and let all listen unto his sayings, that when all have spoken that all may be edified of all, and that every man may have an equal privilege.

122 Nombrad de entre vosotros a un maestro; y no tomen todos la palabra al mismo tiempo, sino hable uno a la vez y escuchen todos lo que él dijere, para que cuando todos hayan hablado, todos sean edificados de todos y cada hombre tenga igual privilegio.

123 See that ye love one another; cease to be covetous; learn to impart one to another as the gospel requires.

123 Mirad que os améis los unos a los otros; cesad de ser codiciosos; aprended a compartir unos con otros como el evangelio lo requiere.

124 Cease to be idle; cease to be unclean; cease to find fault one with another; cease to sleep longer than is needful; retire to thy bed early, that ye may not be weary; arise early, that your bodies and your minds may be invigorated.

124 Cesad de ser ociosos; cesad de ser impuros; cesad de criticaros el uno al otro; cesad de dormir más de lo necesario; acostaos temprano para que no os fatiguéis; levantaos temprano para que vuestros cuerpos y vuestras mentes sean vigorizados.

125 And above all things, clothe yourselves with the bond of charity, as with a mantle, which is the bond of perfectness and peace.

125 Y sobre todo, vestíos, como con un manto, con el vínculo de la caridad, que es el vínculo de la perfección y de la paz.

126 Pray always, that ye may not faint, until I come. Behold, and lo, I will come quickly, and receive you unto myself. Amen.

127 And again, the order of the house prepared for the presidency of the school of the prophets, established for their instruction in all things that are expedient for them, even for all the officers of the church, or in other words, those who are called to the ministry in the church, beginning at the high priests, even down to the deacons—

127 Y además, el orden de la casa preparada para la presidencia de la escuela de los profetas, establecida para su instrucción en todas las cosas que les convienen, sí, para todos los oficiales de la iglesia, o en otras palabras, aquellos que son llamados al ministerio en la iglesia, comenzando por los sumos sacerdotes, hasta los diáconos,

128 And this shall be the order of the house of the presidency of the school: He that is appointed to be president, or teacher, shall be found standing in his place, in the house which shall be prepared for him.

128 y este será el orden de la casa de la presidencia de la escuela: El que sea nombrado presidente o maestro ocupará su lugar en la casa que será preparada para él.

129 Therefore, he shall be first in the house of God, in a place that the congregation in the house may hear his words carefully and distinctly, not with loud speech.

129 De manera que será el primero en la casa de Dios, en un lugar desde el cual los congregados que estén en la casa puedan oír sus palabras atenta y distintamente, sin hablar en voz alta.

130 And when he cometh into the house of God, for he should be first in the house—behold, this is beautiful, that he may be an example—

130 Y al entrar en la casa de Dios, porque ha de ser el primero en la casa—he aquí, esto es bello, para que sirva él de ejemplo—

131 Let him offer himself in prayer upon his knees before God, in token or remembrance of the everlasting covenant.

132 And when any shall come in after him, let the teacher arise, and, with uplifted hands to heaven, yea, even directly, salute his brother or brethren with these words:

132 Y cuando alguien entre después de él, levántese el maestro, y con las manos extendidas directamente hacia el cielo, salude a su hermano o hermanos con estas palabras:

133 Art thou a brother or brethren? I salute you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, in token or remembrance of the everlasting covenant, in which covenant I receive you to fellowship, in a determination that is fixed, immovable, and unchangeable, to be your friend and brother through the grace of God in the bonds of love, to walk in all the commandments of God blameless, in thanksgiving, forever and ever. Amen.

133 ¿Eres hermano, o sois hermanos? Os saludo en el nombre del Señor Jesucristo, en señal o memoria del convenio sempiterno, convenio en el cual os recibo en confraternidad, con una determinación que es fija, inalterable e inmutable, de ser vuestro amigo y hermano por la gracia de Dios en los lazos de amor, de andar conforme a todos los mandamientos de Dios, irreprensible, con acción de gracias, para siempre jamás. Amén.

134 And he that is found unworthy of this salutation shall not have place among you; for ye shall not suffer that mine house shall be polluted by him.

134 Y el que sea hallado indigno de este saludo no tendrá cabida entre vosotros; porque no le permitiréis que profane mi casa.

135 And he that cometh in and is faithful before me, and is a brother, or if they be brethren, they shall salute the president or teacher with uplifted hands to heaven, with this same prayer and covenant, or by saying Amen, in token of the same.

135 Y el que entra y es fiel ante mí, y es un hermano, o si son hermanos, saludarán, con las manos extendidas hacia el cielo, al presidente o al maestro con esta misma oración y convenio, o diciendo Amén, en señal de acuerdo.

136 Behold, verily, I say unto you, this is an ensample unto you for a salutation to one another in the house of God, in the school of the prophets.

136 He aquí, de cierto os digo, esta es una norma para vosotros en cuanto a la manera de saludaros el uno al otro en la casa de Dios, en la escuela de los profetas.

137 And ye are called to do this by prayer and thanksgiving, as the Spirit shall give utterance in all your doings in the house of the Lord, in the school of the prophets, that it may become a sanctuary, a tabernacle of the Holy Spirit to your edification.

137 Y se os manda hacer esto con oración y acción de gracias, según lo que os inspire a decir el Espíritu en todos vuestros hechos en la casa del Señor, en la escuela de los profetas, para que llegue a ser un santuario, un tabernáculo del Santo Espíritu para vuestra edificación.

138 And ye shall not receive any among you into this school save he is clean from the blood of this generation;

138 Y no recibiréis entre vosotros a nadie en esta escuela, a menos que esté limpio de la sangre de esta generación;

139 And he shall be received by the ordinance of the washing of feet, for unto this end was the ordinance of the washing of feet instituted.

139 y será recibido mediante la ordenanza del lavamiento de los pies, porque para este fin fue instituida.

140 And again, the ordinance of washing feet is to be administered by the president, or presiding elder of the church.

140 Y además, el presidente o élder presidente de la iglesia administrará la ordenanza del lavamiento de los pies.

141 It is to be commenced with prayer; and after partaking of bread and wine, he is to gird himself according to the pattern given in the thirteenth chapter of John's testimony concerning me. Amen.

141 Se comenzará con oración; y después de participar del pan y del vino, ha de ceñirse según el modelo dado en el capítulo decimotercero del testimonio de Juan concerniente a mí. Amén.
