1 Verily, thus saith the Lord unto you my servants, concerning the parable of the wheat and of the tares:

1 De cierto, así dice el Señor a vosotros mis siervos, concerniente a la parábola del trigo y la cizaña:

2 Behold, verily I say, the field was the world, and the apostles were the sowers of the seed;

2 He aquí, de cierto os digo, el campo era el mundo, y los apóstoles fueron los sembradores de la semilla;

3 And after they have fallen asleep the great persecutor of the church, the apostate, the whore, even Babylon, that maketh all nations to drink of her cup, in whose hearts the enemy, even Satan, sitteth to reign—behold he soweth the tares; wherefore, the tares choke the wheat and drive the church into the wilderness.

3 y al dormirse estos, el gran perseguidor de la iglesia, el apóstata, la ramera, Babilonia, que hace que todas las naciones beban de su copa, en cuyos corazones reina el enemigo, sí, Satanás, se sienta para reinar; he aquí, este siembra la cizaña; por tanto, la cizaña ahoga el trigo y hace huir a la iglesia al desierto,

4 But behold, in the last days, even now while the Lord is beginning to bring forth the word, and the blade is springing up and is yet tender—

4 Mas he aquí, en los postreros días, aun ahora mientras el Señor comienza a sacar a luz la palabra, y la hierba está brotando y todavía está tierna,

5 Behold, verily I say unto you, the angels are crying unto the Lord day and night, who are ready and waiting to be sent forth to reap down the fields;

5 he aquí, de cierto os digo, los ángeles claman al Señor día y noche, y están preparados y esperando ser enviados a segar los campos;

6 But the Lord saith unto them, pluck not up the tares while the blade is yet tender (for verily your faith is weak), lest you destroy the wheat also.

6 mas el Señor les dice: No arranquéis la cizaña mientras la hierba todavía está tierna (porque de cierto es débil vuestra fe), no sea que destruyáis también el trigo.

7 Therefore, let the wheat and the tares grow together until the harvest is fully ripe; then ye shall first gather out the wheat from among the tares, and after the gathering of the wheat, behold and lo, the tares are bound in bundles, and the field remaineth to be burned.

7 Dejad, pues, que crezcan juntos el trigo y la cizaña hasta que la cosecha esté enteramente madura; entonces primero recogeréis el trigo de entre la cizaña, y después de recoger el trigo, he aquí, la cizaña será atada en haces, y el campo quedará para ser quemado.

8 Therefore, thus saith the Lord unto you, with whom the priesthood hath continued through the lineage of your fathers—

8 De modo que, así os dice el Señor a vosotros en quienes ha continuado el sacerdocio por el linaje de vuestros padres,

9 For ye are lawful heirs, according to the flesh, and have been hid from the world with Christ in God—

9 porque sois herederos legítimos, según la carne, y habéis sido escondidos del mundo con Cristo en Dios,

10 Therefore your life and the priesthood have remained, and must needs remain through you and your lineage until the restoration of all things spoken by the mouths of all the holy prophets since the world began.

10 por tanto, vuestra vida y el sacerdocio han permanecido, y es necesario que permanezcan por medio de vosotros y de vuestro linaje hasta la restauración de todas las cosas que se han declarado por boca de todos los santos profetas desde el principio del mundo.

11 Therefore, blessed are ye if ye continue in my goodness, a light unto the Gentiles, and through this priesthood, a savior unto my people Israel. The Lord hath said it. Amen.

11 Así que, benditos sois si perseveráis en mi bondad, siendo una luz a los gentiles, y por medio de este sacerdocio, un salvador para mi pueblo Israel. El Señor lo ha dicho. Amén.
